Building Regulations

All loft conversions have to be constructed according to strict building regulations. This includes rules on fire precautions, access and escape routes. Floors and certain walls and doors are required to resist fire for a specified period. This law is in place to protect you and your family. For the same reason, there will need to be a sufficient escape route include in your conversion.

Building Control

We work closely with all local government authorities, to ensure we obtain a completion certificate for the completed conversion, issued by the building inspector in your borough.

Getting Permission

Many conversions require planning permission, and having made many such applications over the years, we will gladly apply on your behalf at no extra cost to you.
